Claiming and devastating many of our countrymen
Do you hear their cries?

Listen to the activists and protests
Hoping to take down the goverment
Let the leaders crash and burn
As you show them your dissatisfaction
Do you hear their yells?

Listen to the media
They record everything that goes on
Like our poverty-stricken bretheren
Who barely seem to be helped
Do you hear their proclamations?

All these things, all these events
That come to us like thieves in the night
From the casualties of a fatal stampede
To a state of emergency and gripping statistics
Do you hear every single word?

But first
If you want to make a difference
If you want these to be things of the past
To become nothing but parts of history...
Don't just hear them.
