I'll Miss You
By: Kat

We've been through a lot together,
Seen much of the good and bad.
But now that you'll be leaving soon,
It really makes me sad.

I remember the day we met,
The laughter that we shared.
I remember our hugs and smiles
Truly, you definitely cared.

I feel all those precious memories
Enveloping around me like a shield
But they did not prepare me for
The new horror upon the field.

You have to leave, it pains me so
Sometimes the truth hurts.
Then again, maybe it is the greater good
Your happiness, to me, must come first.

I dreaded that this day would come
Unfortunately it has caught up at last.
After reveling in each other's company
Oh, how time runs so fast!

I never knew I would speak those words
The dreaded words, 'letting go'.
But we have to break the dam sometime
Just to let the mighty river flow.

Despite the seas and country borders
Our friendship shall endure.
We will stay strong, stay together
Nothing will separate us, for sure.

My tears are freely falling,
My heart heavy as a rock.
Unhappiness is closing in
Like an excited bird flock.

Still, even though these tears do fall
And destiny has decided,
There are still letters and e-mails
Because this friendship will never end.

I'll keep you always in my heart
In my soul and in my mind.
I'll miss you, I'll remember you
But the future is not always kind.
A poem follow-up to "My Last Goodbye". Because I'm saying goodbye to my best friend.

Remember, I still love you, no matter how far apart we are.

Man, *hugs* I don't really know what to say.

You'll still be friends. You'll always be friends.
